Position: Security Officer - Financial Lobby in Durham, NC
. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.24 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday and Sunday nights

10:00 PM – 06:00 AM (Saturday & Sunday)

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including assisting with access control issues, alarms, and unauthorized persons.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems where assigned, document observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, follow post orders, and support opening and closing routines such as checking doors, gates, and restricted areas.

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
