Security Officer Afternoon Patrol

Security officer responsible for safeguarding clients across commercial real estate sites in Durham, NC. Conduct routine patrols, provide customer service, respond to incidents, and support daily property operations.

• Position Type: Full Time
• Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Location: Durham, NC

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other common spaces, verifying access permissions and assisting with visitor direction.
• Support daily property operations by reporting maintenance issues, observing vendor activity, and following post‑orders for after‑hours access, deliveries, and incident response.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
