Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol in Durham, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and responsive customer service, while documenting activity using computer and/or tablet tools.

What You’ll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including reporting concerns and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor directions and/or way finding, and support patient and staff flow by observing and documenting security‑related concerns.
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity logs, and communicate status updates to supervisors and/or site leadership per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
