Home Smiles Durham NC is launching locally in March, and this role represents our first field hire
. We are looking for a reliable, capable Field Maintenance Technician who wants hands‑on work today and the opportunity to grow with us as we scale.

Home Smiles provides professional, preventative home maintenance services. We handle the routine but important work that helps homeowners protect their investment and avoid costly repairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, hands‑on work, takes pride in doing things the right way, and wants to be part of building something from the ground up.

While initial work will be part-time
, we expect to grow quickly. The right person will have opportunities for more consistent work, increased responsibility, and leadership as the business expands.

This is our first field hire

Depending on the job, responsibilities may include:

• Performing home maintenance tasks such as:

  • Dryer vent cleaning
  • Gutter and downspout clearing
  • Basic exterior and interior maintenance tasks
  • Light, non‑licensed repairs within scope
• Meeting homeowners or property managers to confirm service details
• Completing work efficiently and professionally in occupied homes
• Documenting completed work with photos or brief notes when requested
• Communicating issues, scope questions, or unusual conditions

This is a non‑construction, non‑licensed repair role
. You will not be asked to perform plumbing, electrical, roofing, or general contractor services.
