What You'll DoAs a Residential HVAC Lead Installer, you'll lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations from start to finish while working alongside an installation helper. You'll be trusted to make sound decisions on-site, ensure quality standards are met, and represent Happy Home Services with professionalism and pride.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Install HVAC systems and related equipment according to Happy Home standards and manufacturer specifications
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Wire both line-voltage and low-voltage heating and cooling system components
- Install, braze, and solder copper refrigerant lines
- Install sheet metal ductwork and flexible duct systems
- Connect and install gas lines in compliance with applicable codes and safety requirements
- Pre-measure job sites and identify materials needed for successful installations
- Receive, inspect, and load equipment and materials for each project
- Collaborate with fellow installers and assist team members when needed
- Train, coach, and support installation helpers to build a high-performing team
- Build positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and management
- Complete job documentation accurately and on time
- Take and interpret system readings to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Certification
- 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong HVAC installation and troubleshooting knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Dependable, honest, and professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires:
- Working in extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions
- Working in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops
- Lifting and carrying 50+ pounds safely
- Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling
- Overtime and occasional weekend availability as business needs require
