Responsibilities- Install or repair heating, central air conditioning, HVAC, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot‑air furnaces, and heating stoves.
- In Durham Technical Community College’s HVAC (Continuing Education) courses, students work with equipment under safety standards and protocols to develop skills required for entry‑level HVAC technician jobs.
- Students wishing to become facilities maintenance technicians can complete the Industrial Systems Technology HVAC certificate and apply those credits toward the Industrial Systems Technology Facilities Maintenance Technology AAS degree program.
