Description
General Responsibilities- Install storm, sanitary and waterline pipe
- Set manholes, catch basins, fire hydrants
- Check and adjust grades as required for proper slopes and inverts
- Set up and use pipe lasers, site levels and transit for accurate installations
- Cut, bevel, sling, lift and carry a variety of pipe types including
- Reinforced Concrete
- PVC
- HDPE
- Ductile Iron
- Occasionally operate equipment, including
- Backhoes, Trackloaders, Skid steers etc.
- Daily inspection of working area and tools for damages or safety issues
- Performing other tasks as directed by site foreman

Requirements Qualifications- Reliable transportation to/from various job sites around the Columbus area
- Knowledge of safe working procedures in trenching applications
- Knowledge of layout staking, grades, and benchmarks
- Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and operate in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to retain and apply information and instructions provided by the site foreman
- OSHA 10 Hour and knowledge of safe working procedures in sitework and trenching applications
