Job Overview
Primoris Energy Services is seeking skilled Pipe fitters for projects in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. This role involves the assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems according to specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and other technical documents to determine piping layouts, materials, and procedures.
- Select and properly use appropriate tools and equipment for cutting, bending, threading, and assembling pipes.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial production and processing systems.
- Perform pipe fitting activities, including welding, soldering, brazing, gluing, and bolting.
- Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of piping systems to ensure leak‑free operation.
- Inspect installed piping systems and components for compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning pipe systems, identifying and replacing defective parts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and project team members.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter, preferably within industrial or energy service environments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
- Proficiency in various pipe fitting techniques, including cutting, bending, threading, welding, and joining different types of piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC).
- Strong understanding of pipe fitting tools and equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., welding certifications) are a plus.
- Must be willing to travel and work on various project sites within the 26120 North Carolina area.
