Job Description
The Lawn Care Technician has a primary role of completing contracted quarterly treatments throughout the landscape season. In addition, this position is expected to identify, diagnose and treat client properties for additional plant and turf concerns.
Duties & Responsibilities- Complete appropriate fertilizer and pesticide applications
- Complete winterization to include installing deer fence and burlap wrapping
- Communicate with clients regarding applications used during a visit via electronic door tag
- Accurately clock in and out using company time management system
- Navigate and utilize the Aspire system to manage and complete work tickets
- Safely operate a truck with an attached trailer
- Read, interpret, and follow product labels and instructions
- Identify and report operational concerns to the Operations Manager
- Maintain daily communication with the Operations Manager regarding assigned tasks and job progress
- Adhere to established schedules and complete work in a timely manner
- Participate in snow removal operations (if applicable)
- Experienced and Licensed (G1, G2 and Cat
B) preferred OR - Obtain G1, G2 and Cat B applicator licenses within first 45 days of employment
- Participate in continued education opportunities within your field of expertise
- Turf identification
- Identification and diagnoses of insect/disease/cultural issues in lawns
- Take site measurements as needed
- Use proper resources when faced with new challenge or issue
- Ability to properly calibrate equipment
- Operate aerator, ride on spreader as well as other landscape tools
- Know and adhere to NH DES rules and regulations regarding application on water front properties
- Ability to read and decipher Safety Data Sheets and Labels
- Proper use of hand tools and equipment
- Use proper time management
- Work independently
- Use safe work practices at all times
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently
- Walk for 75% of the day with up to 10 lbs. being carried on back
- Stand for 15% of the day
- Squat, sit, kneel, bend for 10% of the day
- Push/Pull up to 75 lbs. independently
- Good peripheral vision for driving
- Use smart phones, tablets, and other technology
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have a clean driving record
- Adhere to company policies and safety practices
