Immediately Hiring Pipe fitters In Durham, NC
Pay up to $34 per hour
Responsibilities- Fit and install carbon steel pipe up to 8 inches for industrial/commercial applications.
- Perform chiller and boiler hookups, ensuring proper connections and integration with existing or new systems.
- Install and work with steam pipe systems, maintaining alignment, support, and integrity of piping runs.
- Work in mechanical rooms to install and fit piping associated with HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans to determine pipe routes, dimensions, and installation requirements.
- Verify measurements, cut and fit pipe, and prepare materials and joints for welding or final assembly.
- Follow all site safety rules and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper upfit, functionality, and compliance with project standards.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Hands-on experience fitting carbon steel pipe up to 6 inches.
- Proficiency working with chiller and boiler hookups in commercial environments.
- Experience installing and working with steam pipe systems.
- Familiarity with mechanical rooms and associated piping for HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate small teams or helpers on site.
- Knowledge of safe pipe fitting practices and proper use of basic hand and power tools related to pipe fitting.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors on an active construction site.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and benefits:
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
