Our Monroe client is seeking a skilled Plumber to join their team at a local correctional facility. This role offers a steady schedule, competitive pay, and the chance to grow your career in a vital trade.
Schedule & Pay:- Full-time
- Pay: $29-34/hr (based on experience)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems, drains, sewage, sprinkler, and steam systems.
- Inspect and maintain plumbing components including backflows, fire hydrants, pumps, water heaters, valves, and pressure vessels.
- Handle corrective and preventive maintenance for natural gas, fuel lines, and steam systems.
- Assist other trades and coordinate with contractors as needed.
- Respond to emergency repair calls, including after-hours when required.
- Maintain logs and complete work orders promptly and professionally.
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- 1–3 years’ experience in plumbing maintenance/repair.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing installation, repair methods, safety precautions, and tool use.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints/schematics.
- Licensing in applicable trade/jurisdiction preferred.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a correctional facility environment.
