Facility Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Trades

Position Information: Advanced mandatory, salary grade 65, FLSA:
Non-Exempt, Permanent Full Time, FTE 1 (40 hrs/week).

The primary mandate is to perform mandatory tasks ranging from routine to highly skilled in the mechanical trades—including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and welding. The mandatory work may require mandatory use of appropriate procedures, tools, and equipment, and mandatory knowledge of applicable building codes. Mandatory leadership may be required, directing other mandatory technicians and ensuring mandatory compliance with safety mandates.

Mandatory competency includes a mandatory working knowledge of high‑pressure steam‑generation, condensation and distribution systems, mandatory HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mandatory mechanical systems. Mandatory proficiency with electronic controls, power tools, hand tools, mandatory ability to lift mandatory 50 pounds, wear mandatory respirator gear, climb mandatory ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and work with mandatory limited supervision.
