The City of Durham seeks a Maintenance Operator to ensure the integrity and functionality of municipal systems. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicles, equipment, and traffic systems, operating heavy machinery, and leading maintenance staff. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma and technical repair experience, while certifications like IMSA Traffic Signals Level I and a NC Class A CDL must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Ideal candidates will have experience in preventative maintenance and have specialized knowledge in traffic signal installation and repair. This position supports our mission to maintain a safe and efficient transportation network.
