Diesel Mechanic​/Technician A

As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician A, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all equipment used to transport and handle freight.

• Inspect, repair, and maintain equipment such as single and tandem axle diesel over‑the‑road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks, and propane and diesel‑powered industrial forklifts.
• Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production so service schedules and customer commitments are met.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other breakdowns or potential failures; perform failure analysis of component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, and tire inflation.
• Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test.
• Preferred: experience in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, automotive service, ASE certification, and diesel engine certification.

• Pay: $33.00–$40.45 per hour (pay may vary based on location and experience).
