HVAC Service Technician

About the Role

Brady Services, an independent Trane® office, is looking for a Service Technician – Level III to handle complex installation, maintenance, start‑ups, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, including large unitary, chilled water, and specialty products.

• Servicing products and equipment on assigned accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed.
• Repairing, overhauling, and starting up complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing units using hand tools, blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications.
• Documenting work by completing daily job paperwork and closing out jobs on time.
• Determining parts for repairs and ordering them promptly.
• Preparing for on‑site installation and repairs by reviewing building layouts and coordinating materials.
• Providing technical support and acting as a resource for customers.
• Selling and supporting Brady products and services.
• Working independently for the majority of the time.
• Mentoring and coaching junior technicians.
• Inspecting and maintaining all company‑provided materials, including fleet vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Maintaining service uniform and meeting dress code requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and best practices.
• Collaborating with Associates to uphold the company’s mission and values.
• Supervising complex jobs with multiple technicians.

Monday through Friday, with periodic on‑call duties, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel as required.

• Lifting up to 90 pounds occasionally; routinely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; occasional sitting.
• Using hands to operate tools, controls, and reach.
• Communication in loud environments; visual requirements including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
• Exposure to mechanical/equipment rooms, occasional outside weather, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, electrical shock, and vibration.

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or military training in HVAC from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Proficiency with computer devices, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Apple iOS software.
• Proficiency with applicable maintenance tools and operational renderings.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Pass drug screening and prove U.S. employment eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
