Description of Work Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for a full-time Electrician I. This is semi-skilled to skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Minor repairs that involve electric and mechanical part replacement (lighting, bulbs, ballast, circuit breakers, receptacles and outlets, etc.)2. Minor kitchen repairs
3. Inspections and testing (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.)4. Assisting with the performance and testing of standby generators

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Basic knowledge of arithmetic and units of measure.

Basic knowledge of the standard practices and methods of electrical trade.

Basic skill in the use and care of the tools and equipment of the electrical trade.

Ability to interpret and work from sketches. Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints.

Knowledge of generators and with appliances such as washers and dryers.

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

Standing for long periods

Lifting up to 50 pounds

Climbing ladders

Working in temperatures over 85 degrees for more than 30 minutes

Passing a respirator fit test

This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

USUAL WORK HOURSFlexibility is required for education and training purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.
