Mental Health Counselor

• Deliver therapy and support to clients on the waitlist in their homes, in the community, or via telehealth
• Provide crisis intervention and clinical coverage when situations require it
• Connect clients and families with vital community resources and services
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and clinical supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality care
• Strengthen relationships with referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders
• Lead or contribute to outreach, education, and marketing efforts promoting Amethyst's programs
• Support clients from the first point of contact and help bridge gaps in care

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field
• At least one year of post-graduate counseling experience
• Bilingual/Spanish fluency is a PLUS
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, especially in high-pressure situations
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills that foster mutual trust, respect, and collaboration
• Self-motivation and initiative
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment
• Comfort providing services in the community
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience supporting youth and families from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships across the community

Demonstrates expertise in delivering therapy and support to clients, including crisis intervention and community resource connection. Strong ability to foster relationships with clients, families, and community partners while maintaining high-quality care and effective communication.
