The Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), Child Welfare Services (CWS), is seeking professional individual for the position of Child Welfare Services Administrator. This position will be located in Marietta, Georgia and report to the county director.

Job Description (General Summary):
The Region 13 Adoption Administrator will be responsible for leadership to Adoption Supervisors, Case Managers, and Social Services Technicians, with the supervisors being direct reports to the Adoption Administrator. This position will oversee Adoption and related permanency operations related responsibilities include but are not limited to collaboration with county and regional leadership. Additionally, this position will work with staff across the region and community partners to increase support networks for children free for adoption, to include potential adoptive resources.

Role and Responsibilities:

Analyze and assess the effectiveness of Adoption processes and protocols to ensure outcome measures are achieved in accordance with State of Georgia policy. Create and maintain positive working relationships with judicial stakeholders to facilitate timely permanency goals for all children free for adoption. Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within the adoption and permanency units. Manage human resources and directs administrative activities for groups of social service employees assigned to the Adoption Unit.

Collaborate with Regional and State level Adoption teams to recruit placement options for all children free for adoptions in Region
13. Ensures that the Program, County, Regional, and District Directors are promptly advised of significant matters regarding cases and other relevant matters. Research and compiles information needed to respond to inquiries regarding timely approval or denial of a family. Coordinates collaboration with Child Placing Agency providers, service providers, and other community partners via Placement Resource Engagement Meetings to strategize the recruitment, onboarding, retention, and support of caregivers.

Works closely with Regional Field Program Specialist and Regional Adoption Coordinator to address barriers impeding finalization efforts for all children free for adoption. To perform duties as assigned that supports the needs of the county, region, and state, as needed. Resolves caregiver concerns to minimize Level I and Level II grievances. Collaborates with Program, County, Regional, and/or District Director, as appropriate, to effectively execute the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization.

Defines staff performance responsibilities and regulates workloads for units within the Region.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of job-related supervisory experience in a human service delivery program. OR Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Child Welfare Svc Case Mgr Spv (SSP
073) or position equivalent.
