Job Description:

** Position Description**:

Builds Java and Spring Boot-based middle tier applications, Kafka-based messaging, Oracle-centered database backends, and Angular-based front-end User Interfaces in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing environment. Builds and deploys applications in a Dev Ops environment using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools. Improves system performance utilizing performance tunes and production support tracing using Datadog. Prepares reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status.

Develops software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.

* Primary Responsibilities:

*** Participates in architecture design teams.
* Defines and implements application-level architecture.
* Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
* Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
* Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
* Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
* Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
* Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
* Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
* Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
* Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
* Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
* Advises senior management on technical strategy.
* Mentors junior team members.
* Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
* Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
** Education and Experience**:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing application development and design using Java, Angular, and Oracle in a financial services domain - portfolio and fund management, securities trading, and financial decision making.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing application development and design using Java, Angular, and Oracle in a financial services domain - portfolio and fund management, securities trading, and financial decision making.
** Skills and Knowledge**:

* Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) working on a full-stack engineering team gathering requirements, designing, and developing Java REST-based services using Spring-based frameworks, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes (Jenkins, Concourse, u-Deploy, and Github), and performing application performance tuning all in a Cloud-based (Amazon Web Services) platform environment using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) -- Intelli

* DE working on a full-stack engineering team designing and developing performance optimized solutions using Oracle database, building middle-tier applications (using Java and Akka), building data access Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) (using Spring Boot Serverless Architecture), and performing performance tuning of SQL queries and database deployment in a Cloud (AWS) platform.
