Hybrid, Durham, NC area – LOCALS ONLY – NO RELOCATION
2 weeks onsite / month

- Trading application built on Java/Spring Boot/Kafka/Oracle – must have recently been hands‑on with a heavily multi‑threaded app; streams, exception handling, data structures, event‑driven architecture, and scalability for high‑volume messaging queues
- Oracle: PL/SQL stored procedures and SQL queries
- Kafka for high volume messaging queues
- Financial services experience, specifically on a trading application, strongly preferred
- 10+ years of backend development experience designing, developing and maintaining multi‑tier internet‑facing web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle in a fast‑paced Agile environment.
- Expertise in Java 17+ with hands‑on experience in Spring Boot 3.x
- Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices‑based architectures.
- Experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS)
- Experience with Angular
