Front End Web UI Django Developer; NC

SUMMARY

ANSYS, Inc. seeks R&D Engineer II to join our team in Apex, NC, with a hybrid working model (remote a few days a week and in office a few days a week). The team’s primary emphasis lies in crafting software tools tailored for the post processing, analysis, and visualization of engineering data. In this particular position, your responsibilities will involve the design and development of functionalities dedicated to the front-end aspect of a dynamic and innovative report generation tool.

This tool is engineered to empower engineers in extracting maximum insights from their simulations, ultimately facilitating optimal R&D discoveries.

• Contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems associated with the post processing, analysis, and visualization of engineering data.
• Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
• Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
• Understand and employ best practices.
• Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
• Research problems discovered by quality assurance or product support teams and develop solutions.
• Work under the general supervision of a development manager.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related position, or Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular front-end frameworks.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of back-end development technologies and databases (e.g. Node.js, Python, Mongo
  
  DB, SQL) is a plus.
