This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

Set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develop, modify, and execute software test strategies, plans, and suites. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution.

Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to define test strategies
  • Perform in-depth testing on delivered features and bugs
  • Build and maintain automated test coverage for UI and API
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results for defects or test updates
  • Conduct general exploratory testing to identify issues before shipping to customers
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design discussions
  • Drive quality engineering best practices and continuous improvement across teams
Required Qualifications
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical work experience with software test automation.
  • Typically, 4-6 years’ experience with software test automation.
  • Experience with Playwright or Selenium, and programming in Java, Typescript, or Python.
  • Knowledge of Agile SDLC and experience in software testing methodology, tools, test planning, and test execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for performing root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of tools and processes for regression, scale, and performance testing.
  • Self‑motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Virtualization (KVM), containers, and Kubernetes ecosystems
  • Cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Robust testing: performance, load, security, vulnerability
  • AI agents and coding support
  • Agile software environments
  • Infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible)

Salary Range

The expected salary for this position is USD 98,000‑185,200 in Colorado, USD 105,500‑200,500 in Massachusetts, and USD 92,600‑213,500 in North Carolina & Texas. The listed salary range reflects base salary and variable incentives may also be offered.
