Senior Service Now Developer

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) is seeking a Senior Service Now developer for designing, developing and implementing solutions within the Service Now platform. The responsibilities of this role will include the following:

• Architect scalable and maintainable solutions within the Service Now platform, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement Service Now solutions, including custom applications, modules, workflows, and integrations, to meet business requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and support teams, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Service Now configurations, workflows, integrations, and performance.

Proven work experience with Service Now development and/or administration Required 6 Years Experience with Service Now Flow Designer or Service Now Workflow Editor using functionality such as Scheduled Script Executions (Scheduled Jobs) Required 5 Years Experience with Service Now Flow Designer or Service Now Workflow Editor such as notifications and reporting Required 5 Years Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) or Customer Service Management (CSM) Required 5 Years Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or application developer (CAD) Required 5 Years Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and other web development tools and techniques like HTML, CSS, XML, SQL, and AJAX for building user interfaces.

Required 3 Years Experience building and maintaining integrations between Service Now and other systems leveraging REST, SOAP, and other APIs Required 3 Years Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency; independently identify options. Required 5 Years Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures. Required 5 Years Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and best practices is beneficial Highly desired 3 Years Familiarity with Service Now's Glide scripts Highly desired 3 Years Experience designing and/or developing dashboards using Power BI Highly desired 4 Years Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development Highly desired 3 Years Knowledgeable in Dev Ops practices and Shift Left testing
