Data Engineer (ETL) Onsite - Durham, NC

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years' experience in data engineering, with proven success in developing Spark services for data movement.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java clients for consuming REST and SOAP APIs and Scala Spark batch applications.
• Expertise in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining ETL batch jobs using Apache Spark and EMR.
• Familiarity with processing big data using Apache Spark on clusters, and writing to No
  
  SQL databases like Cassandra or Yugabyte.
• Experience with cloud‑based data warehousing and data lake solutions such as Snowflake, and knowledge of large dataset storage formats like Parquet or HDF

• Proven ability to build and deploy software solutions utilizing AWS cloud services.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

• Python proficiency for pipeline scripting and automation.
• Experience with additional cloud services or data management tools.

Preferred

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.
• Over 8 years of professional data engineering experience, with a focus on ETL processes in cloud environments.

Estimated Min Rate: $52.50

Estimated Max Rate: $75.00
