Director of AI Engineering

We’re partnering with an established, industry-leading organization that’s making a significant investment in Artificial Intelligence and building a new AI Engineering practice. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and help define the company’s AI strategy, architecture, and engineering standards while remaining deeply hands-on with the technology.

This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys building enterprise AI solutions, mentoring engineers, and driving the adoption of Microsoft’s modern AI ecosystem.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft’s AI platform.
• Build AI-powered applications leveraging Azure AI, LLMs, agentic AI, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities to automate high-value manual processes through AI.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI development, deployment, governance, and scalability.
• Build and mentor a growing AI Engineering team while remaining hands-on with architecture and development.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Application Development teams to integrate AI capabilities across the organization.

• Experience leading engineering teams as a Manager, Director, Principal, or Lead.
• Strong hands‑on experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, One Lake, or related Microsoft data platform technologies.
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI or Microsoft’s AI platform.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, or agentic AI solutions.
• Experience building or scaling new engineering capabilities, platforms, or practices is highly preferred.
• Consulting or Microsoft partner experience is a plus.
