Import/Export Specialist
Your Role:
As part of a shared service center that serves multiple branches, the Customs Entry Specialist processes Customs Entries in a timely manner and with accuracy. Pay Range: $48,000 - $60,000
- Receives import files to clear through Customs
- Ensure import clearance files are compliant with US Customs regulations
- Resolve and Communicate clearance issues with internal team members and with customers
- Prioritize shipments based on ETA or other factors
- Process customs bonds as needed
- Process steel licenses as needed
- Communicate entry release
- Ensure each file is invoiced correctly
- Help identify areas that need improvement
- Assist with new customer implementation
- Stays up to date with current regulations with US Customs
- Education and Experience:
2-5 years of processing customs entries - CHB License is a plus
- Skills:
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Extensive excel experience with Adobe PDF knowledge is a plus - Fluent in English, both written and oral
- Characteristics:
Ability to learn all aspects of the team's work, and to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis. Organizational and time management skills. Self-starter, sense of urgency, communication. Customer focused.
