As a Courier in our Durham, NC lab, you'll be responsible for picking up samples from customers and often collect water or soil samples. They may also deliver sampling supplies and perform other tasks in support of meeting the expectations of our clients.

The compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday with possible overtime.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Driving the company vehicle to client locations, delivering supplies to those locations, and returning samples to the laboratory.
• Providing courteous, respectful, responsive, and excellent client service to internal and external clients.
• Maintaining the company vehicle in optimal driving condition.
• Maintaining a clean vehicle, both inside and outside.
• Ability to communication well with the operations manager, project managers, courier scheduler.
• Staying overnight when going on multiple day courier routes, up to a week at the time.

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to stay overnight on multiple day courier routes.
• A driver must be able to lift at least 50 lbs into their vehicle.
• A driver must have a driving record that meets the Montrose requirements for operating company vehicles.
• Drivers may be subject to screening requirements above those of other employees.
• Drivers must inform their supervisor within 3 days if they are ticketed or arrested for driving related offences outside of work, and immediately if the event happens on the job.
• Good driving and safety skills

• Frequently handles coolers, sample containers, and laboratory supplies while maintaining proper chain of custody
• Works in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive delivery schedules
• Exposed to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments during pickups and deliveries
• May enter laboratory environments where PPE is required
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of coolers and sample containers up to 50 pounds
• Requires prolonged periods of sitting while driving, along with frequent walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
