CDL A Transit Driver
- Doubles Endorsement Required

920 Ellis Road, Durham NC

No Auto Restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission.

Do you have a passion for driving? In this position you will transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point‑to‑point via night transit. Night shifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there’s no touch freight required. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply!

Schedule:

5 Night Work Week, Sunday
- Friday. Start time is between –pm and work until routes are complete.

Component Pay—pay per day and per trip.

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your Class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lb (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
