Responsible for shipping and receiving parts, pulling orders, stocking parts, inventory control, and overall warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Stocks the parts stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise.
- Responsible for inventory control.
- Enters inventory into software system (Net Suite).
- Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse.
- Operates a forklift and hand-truck.
- Practices safe material handling techniques.
- Files freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.
- Filing freight claims for damaged goods.
- Complete deliveries to stores and customers as needed, in company cargo van.
- Flexibility to work overtime, as required.
- Demonstrate and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the Company.
- Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.
- Improve personal performance on a continual basis.
- Provide responsive, professional, and diplomatic customer service.
- Answer customer calls and correspondence quickly and pleasantly.
- Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner.
- Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationship.
- Immediately addresses any customer’s concern and requests the involvement of other Company personnel as required.
- Follow all company safety programs and report any non-compliance to Parts Warehouse Manager.
- Notify Parts Warehouse Manager, Product & Sourcing Manager, and/or Safety Manager of any unsafe condition.
Educational and experience requirements:
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and general familiarity with computers.
Certificates, licenses, registrations:
Valid Driver’s License required;
Forklift Certification preferred.
Language skills:
Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers; effective communication skills.
Mathematical skills:
Basic math skills for American money, weight, and volume measurements.
Reasoning ability:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions.
Physical demands:
Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 100 lbs. occasional; a heavy physical demand classification. Vision and hearing requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
Typical store/warehouse environment; exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals; moderate noise levels.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
