Team Lead
Peter Millar is a lifestyle brand founded in 2001, headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina with a distribution center in Durham, North Carolina. We are looking for a Team Lead to manage daily operations, motivate associates, and ensure safety and quality standards in our distribution center.
Responsibilities- Develop daily plans and assignments for the team.
- Motivate associates within the assigned DC work area.
- Report and elevate issues to area supervisors and collaborate interdepartmentally to enhance productivity.
- Train associates and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, SOPs, policies, and work standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area(s) to facilitate efficient operations.
- Prioritize work, manage the flow of day‑to‑day operations, and develop timelines and strategies for the team to achieve targeted business results.
- Provide clear and effective communication to the team in assigning tasks, delivering training, and leveraging resources to keep projects on track.
- Participate in the creation and distribution of documentation, generate reports, and keep team(s) up‑to‑date.
- Monitor and review productivity metrics for individuals and teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- High standards for safety, quality, and positive employee relations.
- Self‑motivated with proven ability to work with others under minimal supervision.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Team collaboration, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to develop, implement, and assess performance metrics.
Education and Experience
- At least one year of employment in a current role.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience performing functions in a WMS.
- Preferred:
Minimum two years of team leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment. - Experience using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
