GMP Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

This role oversees end-to-end GMP warehouse operations with a strong focus on inventory control and ERP management within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. The position supports a commercial manufacturing facility by ensuring accurate material flow, robust inventory accuracy, and strict compliance with cGMP and GDP standards. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in a growing startup operation and directly contribute to the success of a new commercial manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

+ Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, shipping, and internal material movement.

+ Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through timely and precise ERP transactions, particularly within Dynamics 365.

+ Perform regular cycle counting activities and reconcile any discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.

+ Lead investigations into inventory discrepancies and non-routine operational issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

+ Ensure full compliance with cGMP, GDP, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety standards in all warehouse activities.

+ Maintain audit-ready documentation for all warehouse and inventory control processes to support internal and external inspections.

+ Support manufacturing operations by staging and delivering materials in a timely and accurate manner to meet production schedules.

+ Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in inventory control to drive operational efficiency within GMP warehouse operations.

+ Provide guidance and informal leadership to junior team members, including supporting their onboarding and training.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.

+ Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective material flow and inventory management.

+ Support inventory management for quality control and finished product, ensuring appropriate handling, storage, and documentation.

Essential Skills

+ Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end warehouse operations in a regulated pharmaceutical or GMP environment.

+ Strong knowledge of cGMP and GDP requirements, with the ability to apply these standards to daily warehouse activities.

+ Proven experience in inventory control, including cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and reconciliation.

+ Hands-on experience using an ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365, for inventory and material transactions.

+ Ability to act as a subject matter expert in inventory control within a GMP warehouse setting.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and ERP transactions.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

+ Capability to provide guidance and informal leadership to junior team members.

+ Strong problem-solving skills to address non-routine operational issues and inventory discrepancies.

+ Commitment to maintaining safety, compliance, and audit readiness at all times.
