Child and Family Support Work around Durham Area

8am-8pm Day/8pm-8am Night/ Respite shifts /8am-11pm + Sleep In

Within this role you will be working with children and families in residential and community settings. You will be working to ensure the safety and support of a young service user.

For this role, you will need good attention to detail, writing detailed daily notes, recording things such as the young person's emotions, any interactions with staff/family members, conversations they may have, any concerns you may have, food diaries and the daily routine of the individual.

This role could require you to take part in activities with the young person, helping to manage their money, helping with life skills, and more. It could also involve work with their family, aiding in rebuilding relationships, preventing foster/family breakdowns, and observing the family interactions.

You will need to be able to identify and report any safeguarding issues that may arise in relation to the young person, as well as aiding in their development and keeping them on track. Within the role you will deal with behaviour that can challenge, as well as a range of SEMH needs, and physical/learning disabilities, so experience with this would be advantageous.
