Position: Middle School Mathematics Teacher (LTS) - 8th Grade

Middle School Mathematics Teacher

Duxbury Middle School is anticipating the need for a highly qualified certified Middle School Mathematics teacher for a long term substitute assignment starting on August 26 through October 27, 2026.

Requirements:

  • Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Mathematics (5-8) with SEI Endorsement
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university
  • Classroom management skills that support students social emotional learning
  • Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Particular comfort teaching topics including pre-algebra and algebra 1 units.
