Full Time Public Safety Dispatcher

The Regional Old Colony Communications Center handles 911 calls and provides Police, Fire, and EMS dispatching services for the towns of Duxbury, Plympton, Halifax, Hanson, Rochester and Hanover Massachusetts. This is a full-time on-site role for a Public Safety Dispatcher located in Duxbury, MA. The Public Safety Dispatcher will be responsible for answering and managing 911 emergency calls, dispatching Police, Fire, and EMS services, and coordinating with our first responder partners. The dispatcher will need to follow established protocols and provide clear and effective communication to all responders.

• Possess skills in Emergency Medical Dispatch and Emergency Services
• Experience with Dispatching and Communications preferred
• Understanding of Law Enforcement processes and protocols
• Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-stress situations
• Familiarity with the geography of the towns served is beneficial
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in emergency dispatch services is a plus
