American Heritage, a leader in the Protective & Security industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Security Officer to join our team. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing top‑yet security services to hospital personnel, vendors, patients, and visitors. This position offers the opportunity to learn valuable skills in de‑escalation, incident reporting, and emergency response.
Responsibilities- Screen and direct visitors, enforce hospital guidelines, and issue passes
- Conduct patrols to detect safety hazards and unauthorized individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare incident reports
- Respond to emergencies and calls for service with professionalism
- Escort personnel, control visitor access, and assist with patient transfers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military police, or security
- Ability to lift and drag 50 pounds
- Proficiency in MS Word and basic computer knowledge
- Valid government‑issued security officer/guard license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Basic computer knowledge and technical skills
- Demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity in all interactions
- Promote teamwork and adhere to security policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient/client rights
