The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and optimization of transformers and related components. As an intermediate-level engineer, the Electrical Design role involves applying developing expertise to contribute to projects and tasks under the guidance of more senior engineers. This role includes collaboration with cross‑functional teams and opportunities to develop technical skills. The Electrical Design Engineer plays a key role in supporting design initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Assist in the design and development of transformers or related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and customer specifications.
• Conduct basic engineering analyses to support product performance, cost optimization, and efficiency improvements.
• Support failure analysis on design‑related issues under the supervision of senior engineers, contributing to identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure successful integration of designs into production.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to ensure designs meet project and customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications and test plans, under supervision.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to assist in maintaining competitive and compliant designs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting efforts to improve processes and product designs.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on transformer or related product design.
• Proficiency with basic design and analysis tools, including electrical, and thermal analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., VB .Net, C++, SQL) and database management tools (e.g., MySQL)
• Ability to interact with, maintain, and update ERP system data related to engineering processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements for transformers or components.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to learn and apply technical knowledge under supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
