Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

The accountant is responsible for processing and analyzing transactions to support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. The role also includes managing sales tax registrations and preparing and filing sales tax returns.

• Process and analyze financial transactions to support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including reconciliations and financial statement notes.
• Processes customer invoices daily and audit the sales transactions.
• Review and post the daily cash receipts.
• Monitor and record the daily posting and clearing of payment disbursements.
• Manage sales tax registrations across applicable jurisdictions.
• Prepare, file and reconcile sales tax returns.

• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup support to other accounting functions as needed.
• Performs other related duties to support the accounting department.
• Supports the annual audit as needed.

• Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of experience
• Possesses two to five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exhibits the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload efficiently.
• Maintains focused attention to detail.
• Displays advanced ability in Microsoft Excel.

• Holds an Advanced Degree in Accounting

• This role is an individual Contributor.

• Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Performs repetitive motions involving substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Requires close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing information, viewing a computer terminal, and engaging in extensive reading.
• Performs work primarily in an office setting, with standard environmental conditions typical of administrative or professional workplaces.
