Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting core accounting and financial operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all reporting processes. This role requires five to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including a background in public accounting and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, internal controls, month‑end close, AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, multi‑state sales tax, cash management, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc reporting.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with process improvement, ERP systems and implementations and the ability to help scale accounting workflows in a growing environment. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, growth‑oriented mindset are essential, along with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with teams across the organization. Personality fit is especially important, as this individual should be kind, collaborative, service‑oriented and able to build positive working relationships while supporting leadership with accurate financial insights and operational improvements.
