Development Assistant - paid internship

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Development Assistant to support our Development team this fall in a paid internship. This part-time internship provides practical skill development in prospect research using database management best practices and learning how to build donor profiles and strategy.

Schedule:

Approximately 20 hours per week, partial schedule flexibility. Tuesdays and Wednesday are required in-office days, 2-4 hours each day. Remaining hours can be hybrid.

Hiring Range: $20.00 per hour

Main Internship Duties
  • Research donor prospects and distill information into potential donor profiles
  • Complete database maintenance and data quality support tasks
  • Support the ongoing accuracy and completeness of donor and constituent records by following established data processes
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently attending or recently graduated from a post-secondary degree program in non-profit management, public administration, data management or analytics, research methods, library science, business, public policy or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step procedures accurately
  • Basic comfort with databases, spreadsheets or recordkeeping systems
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Reliability, consistency, and willingness to ask questions when information is unclear
