Job Summary

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for timely and accurate recording of transactions that impact shipping, receiving, and inventory processes or records utilizing the ERP system. The Distribution Supervisor also prepares, unloads, and loads finished goods for delivery to customers and/or inter-company transfers. Prepares shipping and receiving documentation and performs additional miscellaneous clerical/administrative duties to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely, quality-driven delivery of products to customers.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring safety of the site and optimizing operational efficiency. This involves monitoring processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
  • Responsible for the administration of all safety regulations according to MBS policy, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Plans and coordinates all activities related to handling of Admixture products to ensure timely processing and shipment of customer orders within quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining programs and work instructions to improve operating efficiencies, product quality, and safety.
  • Lead and motivate your team. This includes hiring, training, developing, and evaluating employee performance.
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective maintenance program for equipment and plant facilities to minimize downtime.
  • Ensures that employees are adequately trained, qualified, and fully aware of their responsibilities. Address any training gaps and provide necessary resources. Maintain employee training records and documentation.
  • Partner with Director of Manufacturing and Engineering department for planning and execution of capital improvements.
  • Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) objectives including employee training, communications, and awareness programs as part of a continuous improvement process.
  • Ensures quality control process consistently executed by assuring quality standards are met.
  • Support and participate in internal and external compliance audits.
  • Capable of safely operating a forklift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required by the company.
Education and Experience
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years’ experience in distribution or warehousing is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong commitment to safety is required.
  • Ability to understand and follow all written work instructions, oral instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to lead by example and multi-task are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to participate as a team member across all functions of the business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Travel

Business travel as needed. Less than 10%.

Work Environment

This job operates in a hybrid warehouse and office environment. The role uses standard office equipment or equipment as specified on the warehouse floor to handle products for the company. All employees will be expected to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Supervisors please confirm specific work hours required to support business operations. For some roles, standard operation hours:
Monday to Friday from 7:00am–3:00pm.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms; handle or feel objects, manufacturing tools or controls; climb stairs; balance; effective verbal communication; and the ability to respond quickly to sounds and instructions.
