Job Description Summary
The Electrical Project Manager position is a dynamic opportunity that is the driving force behind project planning, administration, purchasing, engineering, marketing, and installation processes for small to medium‑size electrical construction projects including Commercial, Health Care, Data Center, and Light Industrial in the Greater Twin Cities area.
Responsibilities- Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships to secure future business.
- Direct and supervise service technicians, general foremen, foremen and their crews in compliance with contract, union agreements, and company policies.
- Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while ensuring customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, and a positive industry image.
- Prepare, process, and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary for contract execution.
- Direct the planning of the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
- Participate in the bidding process when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in the electrical industry.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes and codes (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of manpower and resources.
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work.
- Willingness and ability to train and educate assigned subordinates.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Exemplifies organizational core values.
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and photocopiers. The position occasionally requires presence on construction job sites and may involve moving mechanical parts, uneven terrain, vibration, and noise. Appropriate personal protective equipment (hard hat, work boots, high‑visibility vest, eye protection, gloves) is required. Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
The position may require lifting up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range: $92,160.00 – $. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only.
