Employment Type: Part-Time (approximately 20-25 hours per week)
Schedule- Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Every other Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Custom Framer with extensive experience designing and building custom shadow boxes, conservation-quality jersey displays, and museum-quality custom framing.
While this role specializes in jerseys, memorabilia, and three-dimensional objects, the successful candidate will also frame fine art, photography, canvases, textiles, needlework, and a wide variety of custom framing projects as part of our production team.
This position requires someone who can work independently, solve creative mounting and design challenges, and consistently produce exceptional work without sacrificing quality.
The ideal candidate is a craftsman or craftswoman who takes pride in precision, enjoys working on both unique memorabilia and traditional custom framing projects, and understands the importance of archival framing techniques.
This is a part-time position working within our regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities- Design and construct museum-quality jersey displays, shadow boxes, and custom framing projects.
- Professionally mount jerseys, uniforms, textiles, and memorabilia using conservation methods that preserve the integrity of each piece.
- Frame original artwork, photography, canvas, diplomas, needlework, and other two-dimensional artwork using museum-quality framing techniques.
- Frame sports memorabilia, military uniforms, medals, flags, trading cards, photographs, tickets, pins, and other three-dimensional collectibles.
- Design visually balanced layouts that showcase each customer's story while complementing the artwork or memorabilia.
- Cut and assemble complex multi-opening mats using a Wizard computerized mat cutter.
- Build custom frames, stretch canvas, fit artwork, install glazing, and complete projects to the highest standards.
- Utilize Museum Glass®, conservation glazing, archival mats, acid-free backing, and professional mounting techniques.
- Inspect every completed project for craftsmanship, cleanliness, and precision before delivery.
- Collaborate with customers and fellow designers to develop creative framing solutions.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional production workspace.
You'll work daily with professional framing equipment, including:
- Double Miter Saw
- V-Nailer (Underpinner)
- Wizard computerized mat cutter
- Canvas stretching equipment
- Dry mount press
- Pneumatic fitting and point-driving equipment
- Conservation mounting tools and specialty hardware for jerseys, textiles, and memorabilia
- Minimum five years of professional custom framing experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and framing jerseys, sports memorabilia, and custom shadow boxes.
- Extensive experience framing fine art, photography, canvas, and traditional custom framing projects.
- Thorough understanding of conservation framing, archival mounting, and preservation techniques for both artwork and memorabilia.
- Experience using pneumatic framing equipment, underpinners, saws, and Wizard computerized mat cutters.
- Excellent measuring, design, and layout skills.
