About the JobThe Department of Medicine is seeking an infectious disease specialist with an academic clinical emphasis to join the faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine (IDIM) at the University of Minnesota.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient and outpatient care for the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Infectious Diseases consult services, and manage the Transplant Infectious Diseases clinic. Additional duties may include general inpatient infectious disease consults, telemedicine, and antibiotic management team services.
Educational ResponsibilitiesTeach students, residents, and fellows rotating on the infectious disease consult service, and staff the infectious diseases fellows' clinic. Opportunity to establish or collaborate on clinical research studies.
QualificationsRequired
:
- Medical degree (MD, DO, MBBS, etc.).
- Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine.
- Completed fellowship training (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases.
- Ability to receive U.S. work authorization and maintain legal status.
This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent on academic effort and begins at $55,000. Total combined salary is anticipated to be in the range of $170,000 – $205,000. Clinical salary is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians.
