Job Description

Make a lasting impact supporting young learners as a Special Education Resource Teacher. This contract opportunity is available at an elementary school and encompasses the entire academic year, from late August to early June. You will play a crucial role providing specialized resources to students while working alongside a dedicated educational team.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (must hold Tier 3 or 4 Special Education licensure)
• Experience supporting elementary-age children with varied learning needs preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning challenges
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Adapt curriculum to accommodate students’ varying abilities and ensure access to general education content
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular meetings to review educational plans
• Create a safe, nurturing atmosphere conducive to student success and independence
