Description
As an Transmission Planning Engineer II
, you will play a key role in supporting MISO's generation interconnection process through power system analysis studies. In this role, you'll collaborate with interconnection customers and transmission owners, contribute to process improvements, manage project work streams, and take ownership of key processes that help drive efficient and reliable grid expansion.
- Administer simulations and technical analyses effectively.
- Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers.
- Make contributions to our already highly functional team.

Compensation & Benefi tsBase salary compensation range: $87,000–$112,000 USD annually. (Subject to state/local pay transparency legislation.) Possible annual bonus if performance and company objectives are met. Benefits include 401(k), vacation, sick and safe time, available from the first day of employment.
QualificationsEducation (required)
- Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology
- Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Electrical & Computer Engineering
- Bachelor of Computer Engineering
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Experience (required)
- 2 years of experience related to power system planning, operations, or a related field.
- Previous energy industry experience (preferred).
- Specific experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, or VSAT (preferred).
