Controls Technician (Solventum)
As a Controls Technician at Solventum you will support plant equipment, utilities, and processes through maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including AC/DC drives and motors, PLCs, process controllers, stepper & servo motors, fire protection equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plant support equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, vendor drawings, manuals, and sketches to perform this job.
- Work with engineering and production personnel during troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, and repair of plant equipment, utilities, and processes.
- Provide technical recommendations regarding improvement and optimization of plant equipment, utilities, and processes.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed prior to start) and at least 2 years of experience in Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA, or Robotics, or
- High School Diploma/GED (completed prior to start) and at least 6 years of experience in Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA, or Robotics.
- PLC programming experience (preferred).
- Industrial motor drive controls troubleshooting experience (preferred).
- Experience working with electrical equipment and industrial maintenance (preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B).
Location & TravelWork location:
Onsite – Eagan, MN. No travel required.

Expected base compensation range $64,800–$89,100, inclusive of base pay and variable incentive pay. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental & vision, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, voluntary benefits, paid absences and retirement plans.
