Civil Engineering Technician

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you’ll play a key part in supporting infrastructure projects from the ground up—literally. Whether it’s providing project documentation, material testing, or ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, your technical expertise will help shape the roads and bridges that keep our communities moving. The person in this role will also act as the first line of contact with our clients.

• Performon-sitesamplingandtestingofmaterialsuchassoilcompaction,aggregate,andconcrete.
• Completedetailedrecordsofinspectionsandtestresultsforprojectdocumentationandhistoricalreference.
• Performandverifyfieldmeasurementsofcompletedtasksontheprojectsforreports,records,and payment.
• Readandinterpretplansandspecification.
• Inputdatafromtestsandinspectionintotheprojectdatabaseandgeneratereportsforclients.
• Conductregularcalibrationandmaintenanceoftestingequipment.
• Regularlycommunicatewiththeleadinspector,contractor,andstakeholderstoensureprojectquality.
• Activelyparticipateintheprojectandfosterrelationshipswiththeprojectteam.
• Functionasa Client Representative ; keepintouchwithpastandcurrentprojectstaffandcontacts.

• Astrongunderstandingofmathandscience
• Some relevant construction experience preferred
• Knowledgeofconstructionsafetyprinciples
• Familiaritywithsurveyingandmappingtechniques
• Strong listening,speaking,andwritingskills
• Theabilitytothinkcritically,troubleshootoperations,andprovidemeaningfulfeedback
• Avaliddriver'slicense

This role will pay between $32-$40 an hour based on skills and experience.
