VDC Designer

• Create and manage 3D models for electrical systems using Revit and other BIM tools
• Ensure models comply with project specifications, codes, and industry standards
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts with mechanical, structural, and other disciplines
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, architects, contractors, and external consultants
• Participate in coordination meetings and assist in resolving design issues
• Manage model exchanges between internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, and other model-based deliverables
• Maintain current models throughout the project lifecycle, including design changes and as-built documentation
• Assist in developing BIM standards and best practices
• Identify opportunities to streamline modeling and coordination workflows
• Stay updated on BIM trends, tools, and industry developments relevant to electrical design

• 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical BIM design, focused on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience using Revit for electrical systems modeling
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with BIM 360 and clash detection processes
• Understanding of electrical design concepts, codes, and standards
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two-year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction, or similar preferred
• Ability to work in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
