Mechanical Designer

Eagan, MN | Contract to Hire | $27-$37/hr

Konik is partnered with a growing defense engineering company that is adding to their design team. If you have training or experience in mechanical design utilizing Creo, Solid Works, or similar programs and would enjoy working for a growing team supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment from a mechanical design perspective, this could be a great opportunity for you! This is a permanent role, hired on a contract-to-hire basis - our client has a very strong track record of converting contractors to full-time employees.

• Develop designs within safety, quality, and manufacturing requirements
• Maintain documentation and perform CAD modeling, assembly, and drawing
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and coworkers to develop requirements
• Participate in peer reviews and find solutions when issues arise

• Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• 0-5 years of experience in designing
• Experience in Creo, Solid Works, Inventor, or AutoCAD
• Experience working with sheet metal design is beneficial
