Sound Technician – Summer, 2026
Pay: $20.92 per hour
• Part-time, Seasonal, Not Benefit Eligible
We’re looking for a positive, tech-savvy person who has the experience to execute sound production at our weekly summer concert series and Music in the Park concerts. The Sound Technician works Wednesday afternoon/evenings, June through August, with some additional opportunities. Schedule varies from 5 to 10 hours per week.

Market Fest Orientation, 4:00pm – 5:00pm at Eagan Community Center - June 3:
Market Fest begins!
- Operates the sound system at Eagan Market Fest.
- Set up entertainment stage, sound system, and concert equipment.
- Work directly with bands and musicians.
- Follow work direction and keep supervisor informed of any concerns.
- Engage with the general public.
- Provide leadership to troubleshoot and provide a quality concert experience.
- Work along and as part of the Eagan Market Fest team.
- Job seekers should be age 16 or older.
- Skills and/or experience in sound system operation of at least a digital 12-channel sound board and providing entertainment support.
- Interest and knowledge of music, bands and community concert, theater or entertainment field.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- Completed concussion training (online training available).
- Knowledge of Eagan Parks and Recreation Department and its programs and equipment.
Knowledge: Sound equipment;
Sound mixing;
Stage setups;
Entertainment act relationships.
Ability: Adapt;
Communicate effectively;
Work independently.
The Sound Technician will be supervised by the Recreation Supervisor and will receive work direction from the Recreation Programmer(s) and Recreation Specialist(s). This position does not provide any staff supervision.
Physical Requirements- Regularly sit, stand, talk and hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally climb, balance, run, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- Daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday hours both indoors and outdoors.
- Working with and near amplified music.
- Outdoor weather conditions may include sun, rain, wind, humidity, and temperature variations.
